WHAT IS LEADING SECOND?

Leading Second exists to equip local churches to raise up the kind of leaders every pastor would kill to have on the team. Leaders who are all-in, heart and soul for Jesus, His Church, and their team’s mission.

We launched Leading Second because we saw in our hearts a space that didn’t exist. We felt in our spirits the mandate to give dignity to the second chair, and empower leaders to walk in their God-given, pastor-entrusted authority regardless of where they served on the team.

In the process, a tribe of UNCOMMON church builders has emerged across North America and around the world. This tribe we call Leading Second now has representation in hundreds of churches through thousands of leaders who simply want to get it right for their pastor, and ultimately for Christ.

WHAT IS LEADING SECOND CAMP?

Leading Second Camp is our flagship annual gathering for the Leading Second tribe. It is a personal summit for second chair leaders to be renewed and equipped for their vital role. This event will bring together executive-level leaders from across the Church for an intimate gathering filled with worship and challenging messages. Brandon & Lindsay Stewart (Leading Second) will be joined by Larry Brey (Elevation Church) and special guests for a day that will FAN INTO FLAME the gift of God inside them.

WHY SHOULD I SEND MY TEAM?

Second chair leaders are vital to the health and alignment of our churches. However, very few spaces and resources exist for this group. Leading Second Camp is that space. It’s an event that speaks directly to the challenges and tensions of leading in the middle. It’s a place of transformation, giving your team an opportunity to learn and receive from proven second chair leaders with longevity and authority. 

 

When your team joins us for Leading Second Camp, here are a few of our commitments.

WHO SHOULD I SEND?

Any second chair leader is welcome at Leading Second Camp. The content will be relevant to anyone who serves on a church team. That being said, Leading Second Camp is geared toward executive pastors, campus pastors, and lead team members. Team members who work directly with a Lead Pastor, regardless of position. We see a potent room full of leaders who are carrying weight for their pastors and leading in their church.
